And there's no curve to it, it's just a strait bow, so if I run out of arrows I can take the string off and I have a 1" PVC pipe to bash with. Only 52" long from one end to another.
Got a few myself. Boat load of videos on line if anyone wants to make one. I live in the country so it depends one what type that's hitting said fan if i bug out or not. I'm ready either way.
Yes! Mine is the one from "backyardbowyer" it's called the "Hobbit INspired Bow", modeled after the Elves from the new hobbit movie (Legolas/Tauriel). This model shoots VERY nice, because you remove a lot of the PVC material from the outer 1/3rd to 1/4th of the limbs. Cutting down that extra weight with a saw really makes the arrows fly a lot faster. These PVC bows really do shoot well, not as well as my custom fiberglass recurve bow of course. But it's a welcome trade because I can make a PVC bow that's a bit over 4 feet long, wheras a good wood/fiberglass bow needs to be 5 or 5 and a half feet long to be any good. In addition to this, I love how durable these PVC bows are, they are almost unbreakable. I would depend on these bows with my LIFE in a SHTF situation, for defense and hunting.
Hypothetically speaking, let's say shtf tomorrow are you bugging in or bugging out? What's the first weapon you grab? Me personally bugging in is really the only option living in eastern Long Island. So with that my remington 870 would be my main go to shtf weapon of choice
