Progressive text based RPG for GLP, it starts now:

Your charter will level up twice per week: Thursdays and Sundays, during those days you are awarded 6 stat points you can add to any category you like. You can spread them out, or use all six on one stat, the choice is yours. Just post on those days what you wish to add to.

Story:

The planet "Europa" is within the solar system that surrounds Proxima Centauri. Proxima Centauri is approximately 4.23 light years away from planet "Earth". Europa has similar days and years that the planet Earth has (24.2 hour days, 366.3 days a year, 30.525 days a month). Europa also has a moon which the inhabitants call "YVES", however, Europa is 4 times the size of planet earth. Yves rotates around Europa twice as fast as the moon on Earth does. Europa has had "Human like" life for roughly 37,890 years. The years are not separated, however, from that of the likes on Earth. Earth has separated its years from B.C. to A.D. Europa has separated its years from B.E.T.C to A.E.T.C (Before Extra Terrestrial Contact, and After Extra Terrestrial Contact). The current year of Europa is now 14 A.E.T.C. Europa is divided into 4 major territories, Fuli, Dwevinport, Anhershi, and Bleshire. Each of these areas of the planet contain a tremendous treasure protected by it's occupants; the moon YVES inhabited by mostly aliens also contains a valuable relic:

The Angel "Thysyle" of Fuli created a harp in 9,837 B.E.T.C out of pure gold. This harp is still protected by the races that live in Fuli. This harp was said to be able to put any species to sleep forever and is worth 100,000 gold. The harp can no longer be played.

The King "Strifswar" of Anhershi was said to have lived for 398 years. By the age of 20 he ruled the land from 3067 - 2689 B.E.T.C, and when he died he passed down his crown. This was no ordinary kings crown, as who ever held it could see all the bloodshed he caused and the evil ways he thought. This crown was said to be able to suck the blood and life out of 1000 men at a time. The crown no longer holds magical power, but it is worth 100,000 gold. Races of Anhershi still hold this crown.

The Knight "Hyral" of Dwevinport once went into battle alone. Hyral was heavily out numbered, 1000 warriors to 1 when he raised up his diamond shield and protected himself for 26 days. Folklore claims the diamonds were so sharp that anyone who tried to attack him simply split in two. Hyral lived from 2223 - 2117 B.E.T.C, he died at 106 years old which is relatively young for the planet Europa. It is assumed he was stabbed with a poison dagger from a follower of Strifswar during sleep. The shield has lost its sharpness but is still worth 100,000 gold. Races of Dwevinport still have the shield.

An Unknown species of Bleshire from 1293 - 1278 B.E.T.C worked on "Ubli Sucara" for 15 years. Ubli Sucara is nothing more than a book.... A book that holds many secrets, and was outlined on every page with random gems. The book is said to contain 14,928 pages, and not one page is missing a gem. Although most the knowledge in the book now is common, it still is worth 100,000 gold.

YVES of YVES was Europa's moons first settler. In 0 A.E.T.C YVES declared the moon as her home. YVES made it so much of a point that the moon belonged to her and her alien followers that she traveled to Europa in 0 A.E.T.C and anal probed 4 million Europa dwellers. YVES died in 10 A.E.T.C as she was 10,632 years old, but she did leave behind her favorite probe to her followers. "Proxima Probe", the first probe ever created by the alien races. This probe no longer works, but is still worth 100,000 gold.

Everyone starts with 100 gold and choice of weapons:

Weapons:

1. Wooden sword
2. Magic stick
3. Dream Catcher
4. Rusty Axe
5. Crowbar
6. Fragile dagger
7. Harp
8. Bloody mace
9. Anal probe V1 (version 1)
10. Other (pick your own weapon, no guns or anything firepower related, think medieval time, or original).


Everyone starts with +2 to all stats:


Strength - The stat that represents a person's physical power. Used to determine how strong they are and how hard they hit.

Dexterity
- Dexterity represents a person's physical nimbleness. Used to determine fine motor skills, reaction time, and aiming. May or may not turn out to be The God Stat, particularly for combat purposes.

Constitution - The stat representing a character's physical toughness. Used to determine how much damage someone can take and how well they resist poisons, illnesses, etc.

Intelligence - The stat representing how smart a character is. Used to show how skilled a person is, how quickly they learn, how many languages they can speak, etc.

Wisdom
- The stat representing a person's wisdom and street-smarts. Used to determine a character's perception, willpower, and decision-making skills

Charisma - The stat representing a person's force of personality. Used to determine how well someone can influence others by speeches, diplomacy, fear, lying, etc.

Pick where you are from (Each land has it's own special features):

YVES: Moon of Europa, home to mostly alien races, this settlement made it easy to travel to the planet Europa. YVES races invented the Anal Probe. Whenever you are a resident on YVES and you wield an Anal probe you gain +5 to strength.

The planet Europa is divided into 4 major territories, each having their own special features:

Dwevinport: Land of mainly humans and knights. Located on the northwestern hemisphere of planet Europa. Whenever you are a resident in Dwevinport you gain +2 to strength and + 2 to constitution.

Anhershi: Land of mainly demons, thieves, and orcs. Located on the southwestern hemisphere of planet Europa. Whenever you are a resident in Anhershi you gain +5 to dexterity.

Fuli: Land of mainly angels and elves. Located on the southeastern hemisphere of planet Europa. Whenever you are a resident in Fuli your health is doubled and you gain +2 to intelligence.

Bleshire: Land of mostly "other" character races. Located on the northeastern hemisphere of Europa. Whenever you are a resident in Bleshire you gain +2 to Charisma and +2 to wisdom.


You cannot simply travel from location to location, you need at least 3 people from your land to go on an adventure with you.

You can move to another area at any time at the cost of 100 gold. You will lose the perk(s) your old residency had, but gain the perk(s) on your new land.


Each character starts at level 1 with 100 health(hp) and 0 armor, yes right now we all are in our undies... Shops will sell armor/weapons/potions/misc.

Special abilities unlocked at level 4, you may pick any ability you want your character to have.. You may add a special ability every 4 levels. (Level 4,8,12,16,20, etc...)

You can buy/sell things through the merchant. Keep track of your inventory and gold. You can only sell your assets back to the merchant, you can not sell things to players. The values are locked values between you and the NPC merchant.

Any of these armor sets will add +3 to your armor rating.

1. Steel Armor. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
2. Blue cape. . Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
3. YVES Shield. . Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
4. Torn cloth. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
5: Angel Drapes. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
6. Raiders Armor. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
7. Leaf Armor. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.
8. Demon Paint. Buy for: 50g. Sell for: 25g.

Potions:

1. Health potion (+ 50hp) Buy for: 20g. Sell for: 10g.
2. Relief/cure potion. Buy for: 25g. Sell for: 12g.
Relief/cure potion will cure magic castings
Health potions will add 50 health to your character (per one). You may only use one potion per turn.

Misc. Items:


1. House. Buy for: 1000g. Sell for: 500g.

A house allows you to live with someone. Both living members must be from the same land. When you are in your house you are immune to robbery and attacks. Your health also will regenerate if you declare "SLEEP", once you own a house. You cannot declare "SLEEP" in battle however.

If you made up your own weapon to start it will have an attack damage of 5.

If you miss a day (Thursday/sunday) to level up your character and don't declare it/post it, you can not level up another day. You will have to wait till the next level up day (Thursday/Sunday) to add stats, but you will not be granted the stat points you missed.

***** ATTACKING ANOTHER PLAYER ***** Added 6/16/14

As stated before:

You cannot simply travel from location to location, you need at least 3 people from your land to go on an adventure with you. (3 people including yourself)


1. You can only attack people in the land you are on.
2. Battles will be judged by observers. (Characters not in the battle)
3. The winner can either choose to take 100 gold from the opponent, or 1 item they own (including equipped items/inventory items.
4. Although you need at least 3 people in your party to travel, once you are in a area you can individually attack someone (you do not need the full party to attack)
5. You can attack as a party if the opposition has the same amount of party members to counter attack (online and active).
6. Winners in a party battle can choose either 100 gold (times party member included: So if your party wins against 3 members it would be 3x100 Gold), or you can choose one item from each loser involved in the battle:
7. You cannot attack someone who is not online, or AFK.
8. The community cannot respond until the attacker/defender have made their choices.
9. If a character successfully escapes, they do not owe gold or items.

**** How to start a Battle ****

Example:

(Display your character, you do not need to list all your stats, just list like this:)

Level 3 Elf (thisismyusername), 300hp/+300 (Fuli), 10 ATK(attack), 3 Armor.

Attacks with Steel Sword:

Level 2 Alien (Stoned goddess)

If stoned goddess is online she would either respond with defend/attack.

Let's assume she picked defend.

It is then up to the community to decide if the elf attack worked, or if stoned goddess defend worked.

Then it is stoned goddess chance to attack/defend/escape.

After the elf responds to stoned goddess the community will decide the outcome.


Now here is where it gets interesting:

The level 3 elf sword does a maximum damage per attack of 10 points.

It is up to the community to decide if the attack landed and/or how many damage points It created (The first on looker to post a result of an attack is the accepted result, only one result per attack).

It is up to the community to decide if the defend worked and/or how many damage points it repelled (The first on looker to post a result of a defend is the accepted result, only one result per defend).

At any point a character can type "Escape" to try and run away, and a successful escape is judged by the community (The first posted result by an on looker is the accepted one). (High dexterity helps with escaping).

This is a turn based combat system, so once you issue an attack it is the defenders turn to defend/attack.

Turns will alternate back and forth until someone has died, or someone has escaped.

You do not need to list your stats before attacking someone, it is up to the community and yourselves to read through the pages to get a rough idea of what the stats of another character has before attacking.

As stated before:

Every Thursdays and Sundays are level up days, on those days you need to be clear about what you are adding your six points to and list your character like this:


(Level 3) Elf: 300hp/+300(Fuli), 10 ATK, 3 Armor, 235 Gold.

Weapon:
Steel Sword

Armor:
Blue Cape

Inventory:

0 items.

Stats:

Strength: 8
Dexterity: 4
Intelligence: 6/+2 (Fuli)
Constitution: 2
Wisdom: 2
Charisma: 2
...............................

A smart attacker would do some research on previous pages before attacking.

The community judging the battle should judge fair, and also do some research before judging.


Hint: Best stock up on potions!!!

Hint for community overseers during battles: You will want to protect your allies. Try to get a response off before your foes do.
If you see one of your own getting attacked and they respond with "Defend/Attack/Escape" you want to be the first to respond with *Example:
"Anhershi (allie) defended the attack and lost 0 health"

If the battle continues for example:

Human initiates the attack
Level 5 Human(username)

Attacks

Level 4 Demon(username)

The community must wait until that specific demon (username) responds
Say ten minutes goes by and the demon finally responds with:

Level 4 Demon(username)

Attacks back!

It is now up to the community to respond.

Community (first responder Human ally)
Human successfully hits Demon for 5 Damage


The first response out of anyone will be the accepted outcome between the two battlers responses. It is the demons turn now. He/she can either Attack/Defend/Escape.. The battle is not over until someone has died or someone has successfully escaped. A successful escape is also decided by the community.

All the outcomes are decided by the community and not by the characters that are battling!

You want to protect your allies, and your homelands relic.
