(CNSNews.com) – The price index for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs hit an all-time high in May, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
In January 1967, when the BLS started tracking this measure, the index for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs was 38.1.
In May 2014, the index for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs was 252.832, the highest it has ever been. A year ago, in May 2013, the index was 234.572.
