[quote:Taewen:MV8yNTc1OTg3XzQ0ODUzODg0XzM0OEZFOUI5] I have had zero luck finding any recording where 'homeland' was used prior to 9/11/2001. Agenda 21 was created in June of '92, so if it was linked directly to that one would think I would be able to find something that used the 'homeland' phrase. After 9/11/2001 the DHS was proposed in June 2002 (exactly 10 years after the Agenda 21 creation) and passed as law in Nov 2002. Somebody had mentioned Bush Sr. using the phrase, any chance you would remember when that was or what speech? [/quote]
During his live speech regarding Iraq, the president
referred to the United States as the 'Homeland'. For some reason, every time I hear a politician say that it gives me the creeps, like a flash of foreign armies marching across the plains of Nebraska
I did some looking around, and I guess I'm not the only one. First time I heard it was from Bush, and it's been cropping up a lot more lately.
Does anyone else get a prickling in the back of the neck when you hear it? I'm an American living in the
, not the 'Homeland'!
I know I'm not the only one. I found this link from back in '02.
