I was sitting with my 77-year-old father this afternoon talking and he told me the reason he would never eat white sugar is because it is processed with pork's blood. I have known this man for 45 years, and he neglected until this time to let me in on this little tidbit of info. WTF??? I googled it and he is right, which he usually is. Processed sugar is bleached with a solution of pork byproducts (blood, albumin and/or animal charcoal). Thought I would share the info.
