[quote:Sabina 184469:MV8zMzI0MTZfNTU2Nzk4Ml8yQkUwREI4Ng==] [quote:Thanatos] yeah, it's definitely not the fridge or a vibrator! this is a loud hum that permeates the air. A hum? Sprayer copters don't hum. There was a streetlight outside a place where I used to live that would hum and start to flicker sometimes, like an old fluorescent bulb (which, I assumed, was exactly what was happening). Could that be the sound? Do any of your immediate neighbors have automatic garbage disposals? I know it sounds silly, but it is best to start with the mundane and work your way up.
There is a light outside my place that gives the kind if buzzing that you mentioned. In comparison, I guess you could say the sound I am talking about is more like a rumble or a low roar. It's not a buzzing like that streetlights give off. It's much "bigger" than a garbage disposal, too. I don't rule out anything mundane like that, of course. I just can't think of anything that would make sense. The closest thing it sounds like is somebody running a car motor non-stop for two hours. It might last longer than two hours but I usually fall asleep after hearing it for those couple of hours.
Original Message
For the past three nights I've been awake between 2:30am and 4:30 am and have heard a strange low frequency hum that is continuous for those two hours. During the two hours I also hear helicopters that come and go but those aren't constant. I'd say the helicopters can be heard for 10-15 minutes at a stretch. The hum sounds like it is in the sky but I can't be sure. Has anyone ever heard anything like this? What could it be? Maybe chemtrail activity?
I am in central California.
