I've been meditating a few years and periodically I'll get this shift in perception, normally these are very subtle but recently I had a much bigger one and it's felt like my ego has been mortally wounded.
I've stopped caring the things that I always cared about and it feels like I'm walking around in a video game. I don't feel connected to world anymore. I feel generally calm but there's very little emotional sensation going on at all. Everything seems hollow any empty.
I never got into meditation expecting this. I just saw it as calming practice.
Have any long-term meditators experienced anything similar?
