Update 5/15
Protons now at 33 and were as high as 66 (!!!!) at 10 UTC on 5/14!!!!!!
Coronal hole stream from coronal hole 88 and CME yet ahead with G1-G2 (kp=5-6+) in the forecast for 5/15-17

UPDATE: G1-G2 GEOMAGNETIC STORM ADDED TO THE FORECAST FOR MAY 15-17 ALERT: G2 storm (kp=6) warning added for 5/17/17
Coronal Hole 88 is now facing Earth and a solar wind stream flowing from this zone should reach Earth within the next 24 hours. Minor (G1) to Moderate (G2) geomagnetic storming will be possible at higher latitudes during the next 48 hours. -- Solarham.net
Solar wind forecat 5/15-5/17
Late on day one (15 May), an enhancement is expected due to the anticipated arrival of a CIR in advance of a recurrent, positive polarity CH HSS.
On day two (16 May), this enhancement in solar wind parameters is expected to persist until an additional enhancement impacts Earth late in the day from the expected arrival of the 13 May CME. Day three (17 May) should see persistent influence from the combined CH HSS and CME effects.
Geospace forecast
Late on day one (15 May), field conditions are likely to reach active levels due to the influence of an arriving CIR. Quiet to active conditions are expected on day two (16 May), with isolated G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm conditions likely due to the arrival of the aforementioned CH HSS and the 13 May CME. Unsettled to G1 (Minor) storm conditions are expected on day three (17 May) with isolated G2 (Moderate) levels likely due to persistent HSS/CME influence.

It appears the coronal hole on the top of the sun, coronal hole 88 and coronal hole 89 have merged!

Update 5/4
CCMC is back! And its not looking good...again too much red has seeped in past the protective red band between earth and the sun leaving earth saturated in red on both sides:

Update 5/3 - new images posted
Current magnetosphere

Note the blue lines, which are interplanetary magneic field lines, both on the sides of the magnetosphere tail, and now connecting thru the red band and into earth
Here is the last image showing the previous state of the interaction between the interplanetary magnetic field and earth

Its as if earth is harnessing the interplanetary magnetic field or vice versa?!
Here is the current magnetosphere z cut
As shown in bp's last video on the power outages caused by the magnetosphere and solar storms, the earth is ensconsed in a sphere of RED!!!

Here is an image from 4/25 (no red)

I havent been saving Z cut images as frequently but I dont remember seeing this red on the CCMC Z cut images
Watch from 6:30 for Bp's explanation of the sphere of red on magnetosphere y cut images on 4/21 when the last power outage occurred!
Note: the ISWA y cut images have consistently showed the earth ensconsed in red but this is the first time ive seen it on the ccmc z cut and i am assuming it is not an entirely different phenomenon from what he is describing seeing as the interplantary magentic field lines are out of whack as this red sphere is appearing such that energy that was held back can now penetrate earth's field

Solar wind forecast May 3-5
Solar wind parameters are expected to become enhanced late on day one and into day two (03-04 May) due to the arrival of the 30 Apr CME. A slight decrease in parameters is expected on day three (05 May).
Geospace forecast
The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet for most of day one (03 May) with active periods possible late due to the possible arrival of the 30 Apr CME. Quiet to active conditions are expected to persist into day two (04 May) as the transient makes its way past Earth. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected to return on day three (05 May).

Kp=4 (enhanced geomganetic conditions and thus greater pressure on the magnetosphere) expected between 18-21 UT today (2-5p ET) .. but the arrival time of solar wind is not always entirely predictable....

AN UNEXPECTED GEOMAGNETIC STORM IS AFFECTING EARTH AFTER THE INTERPLANETARY MAGNETIC FIELD (IMF) NEAR EARTH TIPPED SOUTH OPENING A CRACK IN EARTH'S MAGNETOSPHERE INTO WHICH SOLAR WIND IS POURING
Read into what is written on spaceweather.com and solarham.net now -- the IMF tipped south and the magentosphere of earth has cracked open causing an unexpected geomagnetic storm - ALL CAUSED BY AN UNKNOWN ....
