[quote:Anonymous Coward 1754339:MV8zNTA2MjE1XzYyNTkxOTEwXzY5MzVFNUU0] First thing I would do is check my phone. (Might have forgot to charge it?) Then I would go check to see if my car would work. Then I know the SHTF. I would immediately get all the water and canned foods from the local grocery store (by this time everyone is confused and there is enough food and water hopefully to avoid riots at the stores) Then I would start gathering up wood, barracading the windows. Waiting for family to arrive (already notified them to walk to my house in case this happened) Setting up a little nice area to relax and wait for it to blow over. There is a nice field I can fence off and use for farming near me. Eventually work our way towards the country once we know its somewhat safe. Then start anew in the country with farm animals and a big farm and just survive as long as we can. The most important thing EVER is water and food. Mostly water. You can survive weeks without food but you cant survive a week without water. That is why I have started gathering water from our faucets, when I finish a gallon of milk, 2 liter soda, a gallon tea, and type of liquor bottle, whatever container I can seal up, I fill it up with our city water and store it. I would never drink my city water right now because it is not very safe (they have warnings about it on the friggin water bill!) But when SHTF, you can bet your ass I will drink it. You should be able to boil the water too and kill those bad bacteria. I will be ready. I am anticipating it. [/quote]

No alarms went off, nothing beeped because everything is fried. It's spring so the temperature change didn't wake you. Just silence. No electricity no cars working, no noise at all. Freaky thought! What would you do first? Ride bike to grocery store? See if neighbors are up?
I don't know but I think the natural early risers would an hour or two head start before chaos.....
