This is what he is wanted for:

"Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world."

I guess 9/11 wasn't important enough to be mentioned specifically here. 9/11 was so insignificant that it can be categorized as "other terrorst attacks throughout the world" OR....
The government doesn't have enough evidence to charge Bin Laden with this crime. If Bin Laden wasn't behind 9/11 than who was?
