No Most Mexicans speak a broken Indian language comprised Of some Spanish Incan and other Indian dialects If you go to some places in Mexico they can't Speak well with one another because The dialects and many words are different
I understand that friend, but that happens here as well. I have been in the mountains speaking with people who I can barely understand and we both are speaking English. The numbers show that the VAST majority of Mexicans speak Spanish, and that is even with close to one-hundred indigenous languages also spoken. I'm sorry, you aren't completely wrong, but you aren't right either.
I have encountered Mexican immigrants who speak A dialect of mostly old Incan Mixed with some Spanish The interpretation office at the local hospital had A difficult time with this patient They had no words in their mixed language for certain Modern medical words
Again, I completely understand that. You said "Mexicans don't speak Spanish. Mexicans speak a mixed tongue of old Mexican Indian lingo" and I was just pointing out that the overwhelmingly vast majority of Mexicans (per all government stats) speak Spanish. There are close to, if not more than one-hundred indigenous languages, each with numerous dialects, and still, the majority speaks Spanish. I will certainly concede that there are people who speak Mixtec/Mayan/etc mixed with some Spanish and so on, but the exception doesn't make the rule.
Most Brits aren't bilingual. Most Australians aren't bilingual. Most New Zealanders aren't bilingual. A lot of white South Africans probably speak that Afrikaans gibberish, but only completely out of necessity. Most Jamaicans speak their incoherent version of English only. Most native English speakers in Canada only speak English. If they learn any French, it's just incidental, the same way Americans in the southwest naturally pick up some Spanish phrases here and there.
But the pattern is clear. For the last two or two and a half centuries English has been a sort of neutral international language of commerce and politics. Don't blame us Americans; blame the empire for whom the sun never set.
But yeah, why look at things in a reasonable way when there's the opportunity at hand to single out Americans and bash us for a complete non-issue?
