How could a kid overheat. Not that it's any better. Just saying, read more before you speculate.
Lots of speculation taking place here. I'll make some: After midnight - Mom takes her kid WITH her to go shopping. Why? Does she work all day? Does she have NO ONE to leave the kid with, and rather than leave him home alone, this is the least objectionable option? Why leave him in the car? He's sleeping, and he WILL sleep through till she comes back....was the car locked? Did she assume he'd be fine and sleep the whole time. She probably had done it in the past. I'm not going to pile on with the HEAT IN THE CAR issue because it WAS midnight.... I'll just end with this statement: Most of you would have VILIFIED HER if she'd aborted him. Here''s a mom trying to do the best she could, and apparently - according to you judgmental SOB's - it's still not enough. Would *I* have left my kid in the seat of a car and go into a store and shop? I hope not. But we really don't know what led her to think this was the best choice she could make. This was a tragedy. Nothing more.
She left the car running.
She was also out at a party and picked him up from a babysitters Eddington said Archie had been out with cousins and friends to celebrate her birthday, which was on Tuesday. Archie picked up Kingston from Eddington's granddaughter, who was babysitting the 6-year-old. Mason said part of the delay was due to trouble getting information about the car. Archie told authorities the car was not in her name because it had been bought from another person. “These people bought the car from someone else, so the car was not registered to them. We had to get the information about the car,” Mason said. “The lady couldn’t tell us nothing because the car wasn’t registered to her. We had to take time to figure out the license number and serial number and everything.” http://www.clarionledger.com/story/news/local/2017/05/19/what-happened-kingston-frazier/332262001/
WTF?? This is absolutely sick. As one comment said, "which of these black lives mattered most?"
Three teenagers were charged Thursday with shooting and killing a 6-year-old boy who was asleep in the back seat of his mother's car they'd stolen in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ebony Archie left her son, Kingston Frazier, asleep in a running Toyota Camry while she stepped into a Kroger grocery store not long after midnight on Thursday, law enforcement authorities said. In the time she was away, a silver Honda Civic pulled up and someone took the car with the boy still in the back seat.
