Porn maven, defender of first amendment liberties, and watchdog of Congressional morality Larry Flynt was on 'Larry King Live' last night.
Mr. Flynt has recently offered a $1 million reward for anyone who comes forward with information about high level government officials involved in sordid sex scandals. Mr. Flynt announced in a press conference last week that he has a list of over 20 solid leads on depraved politicians.
Last night, Larry King asked Mr. Flynt the 'surprisingly' cynical question, "are you surprised at any of the names on the list" that Flynt has been investigating.
Mr. Flynt replied that he was "very surprised" about one Senator which appears on the list.
Like alot of Americans, we've seen Larry Flynt in operation over the years. He's a straight shooter. And from watching the interview, Mr. Flynt did seem genuinely surprised about that one particular Senator they were investigating, among the group of 20.
The US Senate and the Senators have been called the most exclusive and powerful group in the world. There's only 100 of them. So which Senator could it be, that it would surprise one of the biggest smut peddlers in the history of mankind when he or she's name was revealed?
It's a reasonable topic for speculation.
If it's someone so surprising, than it probably has to be one of the bigger names in the Senate. And how many big names are there in the Senate? Probably most Americans couldn't even name more than 20 Senators. If it's so surprising to Mr. Flynt, you could probably narrow it down to that select group of well known Senators.
Is it surprising because it's a well know, high ranking Democrat? Or is it surprising because it's a well known, morality spewing Republican involved in the sex scandal?
Mr. Flynt said he hasn't decided yet whether he would release the 20 names he has all at once, or whether he would drag it out and release the names in a "drip, drip, drip" fashion.
The question is, who could it be that is so 'surprising'?
Not many names out there to guess from. Former KKK Grand Dragon and octogenarian Senator Robert Byrd? That would be surprising. Senator Hilary Clinton? That may or may not be surprising. Senator Ted Kennedy? Probably not all that surprising.
Who? Why? When? Where? How?
Who could it be?
