All the doom, gloom, and 'we're screwed' posts can be a downer... but the sad fact is, a lot of the dooming posts are true and many don't see the troubles that may lie ahead. Is ignorance really bliss? If you could take back time spent reading about the gloom and forget all you've learned here at GLP and any other 'conspiracy theory' sites, would you? Does this doom cause you to worry? If it does, would you gladly give the worry in exchange for some blissful ignorance, living your life from day to day only occasionally sweating the small things that only matter right now? Or does being somewhat informed of what to expect on the road ahead help you in your everyday life? Are you glad you know to prepare? Are you living in suspense just waiting for the shit to hit the fan?

Personally, sometimes I wouldn't mind having back the 5 years I've spent reading all these posts. Other times, I'm glad I know what I know and am somewhat prepared for what might come this way. Over the years some of the things I've found out have bothered me, but I've given it thought and decided I wouldn't take it back if I could.

What about you?
