I was just following some of these threads at work, and that song about the Christmas shoes was playing. So I just thought I’d send you a Christmas greeting. Every time I hear that song it makes me think of you and how much our daughter and I miss you. You’ve been away for 4yrs now and I guess it’ll never get easier. It’s hard to tell our girl about who you were and about all of the wonderful things ya’ll did together because she was only 7 when you went away and she can’t remember them anymore. In fact, now that she’s older, she gets mad at herself sometimes because she can’t remember you in the way that she’d like. And to be honest honey, it’s hard, especially during the holidays, to see other little girls with their moms out shopping, and not get angry. But I try to do the right thing and tell her that you are always with her and sometimes at night, when she’s dreaming, she just might feel the warmth of your kiss on her cheek. Anyway, I know you’re so proud of her! She has your beauty and your sassy attitude. I see you so much in her and the way that she is! I haven’t dated much since you’ve been gone, because I just wasn’t motivated. I’ve since met a wonderful woman and I think you’d like her but our daughter is having a bit of a problem with it. I sure wish things could have been different though. Anyway sweetheart, I know that you’re in a much better place now and I don’t want to bother you, but I’d just like to ask you to think about us from time to time. It would mean so much to me and our little girl! I love you. Merry Christmas!!
