[quote:Anonymous Coward 0:MV80ODIxNF8yNTAxMjQ4XzM4MjNENTI5] I rolled for ten years after "tailor-mades" became too expensive. One of the beauties of rolling is the ritual of rolling -and rolling well. One eventually becomes good enough to roll a perfect cigarette in seconds. Machines that add filters are a bad joke -addicts only smoke more to get the required fix. High quality tobacco -Camel quality- is available very cheaply. That is the problem. I smoked heavily for about a dollar per day, which would have cost me about $10 for packaged cigs here in CA. Major tobacco companies make quality tobacco available (through subsidiaries) very cheaply because they know most people come back to packaged brands after tight financial times. I would not, AT ALL, encourage your son to roll. It is like providing free heroin to an addict. I finally quit smoking 3 years ago after 40 years of heavy smoking. I quit because my lungs were wheezing 24 hours a day. Many die before that point. Lungs are clear now but lung cancer is never far away. [/quote]

My son turns 20 on Christmas Eve and is addicted to smoking. My wish is that he would quit, but since he has tried several times and not been successful I would rather see him smoke natural tobacco rather than commercially produced cigarettes. My hope is that natural tobacco it is not as harmful.
I do not smoke and do not know anything about rolling your own cigarettes. I would appreciate any advice from those out in GLP-land who roll their own as to what type of equipment to buy and where to get it on the Internet. I am thinking of getting him a setup to roll his own for Christmas/B-Day.
Thanks!
