You're talking about Catholicism. Although there was also some torture in the apostate daughters of this hellish whore, it was Catholicism that made a pure science out of it. It's history. Catholicism has even apologized for this period. She has claimed that she has changed. She has not. When she once again has the power, she will do it all over again.
How about being just a little charitable. Think of America and the Catholic Church as having many things in common. They both started out with great intentions but their demise came with good people who sat and "obeyed" while the most corrupt held power. Now it is plain to see why the lukewarm are considered even worse than the militant antiChrists. Also the most notorious character of the inquisition that killed 2000 Spaniards was not a Catholic. The Church from Judas onwards has always dealt with traitors and saboteurs. Infallibility came out of the closet in 1870 (America centralized its power with the "civil" war) and full blown apostasy was given a green light, unhindered by tradition, scripture or even basic common sense. =========================================== List of American atrocities Sherman scorched earth policy of burning Atlanta ... Albert Pike is an honored "American" with a statue in Washington D.C. Here is his dream of global atrocity. http://www.threeworldwars.com/albert-pike2.htm
Posting "Albert Pike's" name is a real draw.... Scripture which is the inerrant word of God was assembled by an errant Church...okay. Nooooo````@!!! You make Jesus a liar, shame, shame. Our Lord said in Matthew 16:18 and the gates of hell will not come against My Church (singular). Satan has tried and his major "hit" is coming but Christ knows the future.
Atrocities of the Christian Church
Â
Torture was enthusiastically applied by early Church officials for three reasons:
 To force confessions or secret information from those accused of heresy or witchcraft, whether guilty or innocent;
To discourage dissent and intellectual freedom; and
To persuade Jews, Muslims, and other non-believers to accept Christianity.
 Scroll down to read about some of the fiendishly ingenious instruments and techniques by which innocent victims were s-l-o-w-l-y tortured in the name of the sweet and gentle savior, Jesus Christ. You will see that great effort went into refining the art of torture, taxing the limits of medieval technology and medical knowledge to inflict agony on the human body. Since the purpose of torture is to cause savage pain without killing, especial attention was devoted to torturing the feet, the parts remotest from the brain and vital organs. I apologize for injecting any humor into the text, but the subject really is rather dreadful. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!
