[quote:Enaid:MV81NTExMTlfODQ0NzQ0OF8zRTQ0MkFDQQ==] I have a huge ancient oak tree. I water in the front of my house, so my oak has enough water. It is a beautiful tree and I want to take care of it. I know people see me watering and assume I am watering the grass, but in reality it is my tree that uses much more water than my front yard. I love my tree. :) [/quote]

I think that people who obsess over their lawns to keep them green are bad for the evironment. They waste water, pollute with fertilizer, pesticides etc. and pollute the air when they cut their lawn. Not to mention the noise pollution.... gentlemen, start your lawnmowers.
Plus they're a pain in the butt when they see something/someone walking across their precious lawn.
How and when did this trend for the perfect lawn begin anyway?
