Been having this epiphany over the last week, and have come to some conclusions.
Imagine: Your soul or immortal spirit or whatever you wanna call it, decides to come to this universe, to this planet, to play the great game. THis time it is human life on planet earth.
As part of the game you take on a character, and your true nature is hidden behind (near) impenetrable veils. You BELIEVE you are this personality, this mind.
You BELIEVE in good and evil, in right and wrong, as these are the white and black of the board.
The goal of the game is hidden from you. Is it to learn? To succeed, to gain power, fame, glory? To help others? TO do good, and reject the temptations of evil?
I believe not! The reason youplay the game is to have FUN! it is a recreation, totally immersive and all encompassing while you are playing, but when you die, and the veils are lifted you see it for what it was! Just a game!
And how did you play?
DId you spend the whole time worried? Fearful? Did you play the part of the victim? The recluse? The debutante? The beauty? The power hungry manipulator?
Or did you play the part of the sage, and see the game for what it is, and pierce through the veils? DId you play the game with joy and happiness, and have a roaring good time?
WHen you go back, and your time in this round of the game is over, how will you appraise your performance?
I realised I would look back and think, why was I so worried all the time? WHy was I concerned with accumulating? There were many days, months years where I never felt joy in my heart! I was like the sulky child who sits in the corner and broods at many times.
NO MORE! From now on I am just going to play, and play for fun, and feel the joy of just playing the game, accepting the character I chose and having as much fun with this persona as possible.
