Boots are easy with imagination...but remember you arn't trying to get a Mike Jordan endorsement....

RE: Tanning.

A secret recipe I learned in the mountains about tanning.

1) 5 gallon bucket water
2) 1 lb can of hay/rock salt
3) 1 lb can full of battery acid

Mix in 5 gal. bucket add hide. Stir a couple times a day.

1) rabbit/fox/squirrel/small game 5 days
2) Deer 8-10 days
3) mountain lion 10-12 days
4) cow/moose/bear/large game 12-15 days

Remember to stir/rotate daily (larger hides will take larger containers)

This recipe will allow the hair to remain on and the hide will be fully tanned/soft comparable to cloth/quilt and ready to sew into boots and clothing. (note: if you want the hair removed simply leave in mixture 1 day longer than recommended)
