I understand what you are saying i have been there to ...not that long ago really. And this is the conclusion i have come to......the soul-spirit has an infinite amount of room to grow. It is only the brain...the physical part of us that thinks and hurts and feels worn out. But we still live and once you get passed the fatigue you realize that what pulled you through was all intangible. It was just will to live. And that in itself is a clue to this existence. Will to live. WILL. Part of the spirit-soul. Your spirit-soul can never wear thin. It can slow down in progress because of the physical brain but it can never stop growing if you believe. This world can only hurt the brain but never the soul. ONLY God can do something about the soul of us.

Is there a difference between purpose and meaning?

My thoughts are that there is no specific purpose in life but that there is individual meaning to life. The "meaning" may be what we call "feelings" or the feelings we attach to our experiences. I've heard people tell us to get rid of our egos and to become detached from our emotions. Wouldn't that eliminate "meaning" and put us in the same league as robots?

Are we getting too smart for our own good? Are we evolving our intellects to the detriment of our hearts? Or do we gain heart knowledge with each progression in head knowledge?

Is there an absolute purpose? If so, what is it?

I think of children who don't think to ask themselves whether life has purpose, and who rarely plan their day full of activities, and yet with each activity find a personal meaning (although they do not seem to intellectualize the meaning, they just go with the flow. LOL).

Please discuss....
