Iran is well stocked with Hardened Missle Launch Stations all along the Mersu Mountain range along the coast. These are well hidden and hard to spot
The attack will start on the larger ships and carriers, rendering them useless.
Jets will be of little use. The ships will not be able to retreat even if the can-advanced multi target missles from Russia will stop that in a hurry up to 75% of the fleet could be wiped out
What ever is left will be going in circles in panic, sunk one by one, under orders to stay put.
We may turn Tehran to radioactive glass, the radiation eventually will drifting over NATO and Mid Europe countries, people dying weeks later from radiation poisoning.

But the bulk of the 7th Fleet will be singing "Voyage to the Bottom of the sea"
