Original Message What if the purpose in purchasing GLP was to cause and watch its demise? The proposition has been discussed before on Autoimmune’s thread “Is GLP a think-tank computarium?”, with a link to the research paper on the CIA website from the NIC 2020 project, Theodore J. Gordon Frontiers of the Future Madmen, Methods and Massive Change.

Funding has in the past been appropriated for such studies. Whether this may be a government project or a joint government / university project, or a privately funded project, the elements are all present for conducting a study and obtaining information about how people (in this case a specialized group at GLP) would react given certain stimuli. In this case, how GLPers would react to the demise of GLP. With this in mind, GLP has probably been a case study for some months or longer by those doing the research.

As for the money issue, whatever was paid was insignificant to those conducting the research. The wealth of information obtained would well offset the cost of obtaining what may not have been obtainable in any other way.
