HOW FURRY STUFFED TOYS have corrupted our youth
In the later part of the nineteenth century, the stuffed bear was born, orginally introduced as an ornamental figure of some value, usually kept on proud display by rich edwardian couples, to the envy of the poorer classes. It was not until the early part of the twentieth century that it became the ovgue to give these and other various stuffed mammals to the children of the rich. Soon with the spread of the indistrial revolution, the manufacture of miriads of stuffed animals of verious qualites and furs became a massive worldwide industry. It was only in the later period of the twentieth ventury after the 1920's that this massive influx of stuffed cudly toys became the mainstay of only younger children, for previous to this when the rise of the industrial age of the english empire spread forth across the globe, children as old as eighteen years were familar with the Teddy in their bed. Not so today, yet the generation of Teddy bear lovers are the same generation that brought us both the second world war and eventually the advent of the agism terminology of the twnetieth and twenty first century "The Teenager", and as you all know , nothing, i repeat nothing has been the same since that corruption of youth.
