[quote:Anonymous Coward 1555310:MV82ODU4MzZfMjcxNDE3NDlfOEExMDRDMzk=] Many American military man who have been to Korea or other Asian countries find the common women there much more fit, far more into taking care of themselves, and far more feminine than the majority their US counterparts. Simple biological fact: This sort of thing is attractive to a man; its simply natural. Men like the soft, delicate femininity of a woman; its what makes them beautiful and desirable. Asian women exemplify these traits, thus many men find them attractive. In this younger generation, far fewer Korean women are living in any sort of poor economic condition, as that country has seen a tremendous growth the last 3 decades, as well as huge economic success. Many successful Korean women do not need to move to the US to prosper, and many can simply live, school and work there without a marriage, due to their success in the current global market. The US is not exactly becoming the most desirable place to live, based on the current economy. That whole green card bullshit is becoming a thing of the past in many cases. I agree with the fact that American women generally have become more and more masculine and their attitude/ value system has changed in recent times, as much of our original western social values system has decayed. I also think a lot of men have been raised fatherless and have never been taught by example that respect in a relationship is a two-way street. Many of these same men and women are professionals at picking relationships that become abusive and dishonest. Sadly, it is becoming a majority. We all reap what we sow, though. I think that any place you go, if you are open minded and respectful, break past the stereotypes, and take the time to learn about it the culture, you will meet both good and bad people, and find new appreciation for who they are and how they do things. Half the fun is exploring what makes our cultures different. Assholes come in every color, as do wonderful people. Ultimately a person is only going to find and treasure the the genuine qualities in another person that they possess themselves. Based on that, it doesn't matter what color your skin is or where you come from. [/quote]

I saw the thread about the guy who dumped his fiance for a japanese chick.
It got me thinking.
I grew up in a military family and have been around people in the service most of my life.
After my dad divorced my mom, he immediately started dating asian chicks. He went through like 3 or 4 asian women before he settled on the current one and married.
I see military guys all the time (white and black) dating asian women or bringing them back to the states after marrying them overseas. Japanese, guam, philippinno, etc.
All types!
When my dad divorced my mom, he told me he would never date a white woman ever again. I thought he was just bitter about the divorce but he stayed true to his word!
Has anyone else noticed this trend amongst military men?
