Original Message Do people that reject God actually think that people who believe in GOD think he is some bearded old father figure in a physical form in a heaven in the sky? Some of the statements by posters anthropromorphize God in such a childlike manner it baffles me. Do some Bible thumping religious types think GOD is a man in the sky?

Many of the God haters and bible preachers refer to GOD with human qualities and characteristics. Maybe that is why they don't get GOD.

The nature of GOD is beyond our limited human comprehension.

God is the Supreme Intelligence, first cause of all things. God is eternal, immutable, immaterial, unique, omnipotent, supremely just and good.

God is not a man in the sky watching over humanity doling out rewards and punishments.

Stop looking at God from such a childish and spiritually stunted perspective and maybe you can begin to grasp some of God in your life. And God does answer prayers, just not in the way people expect.
