Ask your professor at school, find out the truth they are willfully hiding from you, all professors and active members of the establishment know the truth but are playing along to hide this and all truths for reasons beyond your comprehension.
First Lie of Pinocchio science.
- If its truly the gravitational pull of the Sun & Moon that cause ocean tides, then the solar tides would be greater then the lunar tides, the Sun not only attracts the Earth around itself but also the rest of the make believe Planets, including the colossal of all giants, Jupiter, and don't forget little tiny Pluto at the far, far, end of the Galaxy, gazillion(s) of mile(s) away.
Second Lie of Pinocchio science.
- The Moon follows her own lunar path with ascending & descending nodes, the moon travels within that month 5 degrees over the Earth (ascending) the ecliptic plane & 5 degrees below the Earth (descending). We should see the Moon cross a 10 degree difference in her path seen in our skies within that month.
And if that wasn't enough.
- The Earth's "suggested" axis tilt of 23 degrees would add an extra 23 degrees variation of the moon's path through out the year as well. But we always see the Moon follow the same path, it rises and sets exactly at the same places, no matter where the Moon is on her lunar path of ascending/descending nodes and even the Earth's axis tilt towards or away from the Sun, same lunar trajectory.

Third Lie of Pinocchio science.
- The earth "supposedly" rotates on its axis once each day, on the equator at approximately 1037.5646 miles per hour. At the north/south Pole (90 degrees) the speed is effectively zero since that spot rotates once in 24 hours, a very, very slow speed.

- The spinning of the earth works against gravity. This effect is small everywhere, greatest at the equator, and zero at the poles. So if the earth stopped spinning, gravitational acceleration would increase everywhere on earth except at the poles.
