As an European, I have followed, discussed, and ignored all the threads of last weeks that seemingly had just one purpose; to make Jews look bad.
I am a Jew. An European Jew. Not by choice. But by birth. Not something I choose for. It happened to be so.
Yes, I have been told all the stories, and are very familiar with the atrocities of the second world war. I think that I have less than half of the family you have. Although this is an every day reality for my parents, and therefore somehow for me, I don’t hold this against any of you that only learned what happened in the Nazi death camps from school books.
You see, I don’t live in Israel ( my brother does), but I don’t.
I do see Israel as ‘our’ land. Not because God promised it to us, but far more because it is our own land. Our space, not to be discussed, and if so, ours to defend.
You, all, want the world, with your President, to become soft on Iran, soft on Hamas, soft on the PA, and strong on Israel.
To what purpose?
Israel is a democracy. Not perfect. But hey, what democracy is?
But compare the Israeli an democracy with Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, Hezbollah, the neighboring Arabic nations and so fort, and you have to admit that Israel ain’t doing too bad.
Make Israel soft, strengthen all that have less respect for freedom, equality between sexes, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of trade, freedom of how the world will end..
Why?
Because you hate Jews?
Why?
The death of Israel will only be through God’s hands. Never by yours.
