I'm a little shocked at the cavalier attitude my fellow carnivores have regarding pork. People at GLP don't trust anything the government tells them, but when the government says "Eat Pork" you grab the nearest sausage.
Here's an analogy.
So H1N1 is a virus, and we're told that it's okay to eat, and everyone says "Okay", and cooks up a nice pork loin.
Let's try a different virus.
If you knew that a pig was infected with HIV (just another virus, right?), would you still eat it? Even if it was USDA grade A pork?
I suspect not.
Better safe than sorry. I personally can do just fine on beef, chicken and tofu until this is over. But y'all go ahead and support your local pork producer. Enjoy your kielbasa. Just realize that when you put it in your mouth, you may be f*cking yourself with it at the same time.
