I'm a college student at the University of Cincinnati and I have noticed something really bizarre at my campus. I'm not sure if it's just a unique characteristic of my campus or if it's a symptom of what's happening to our entire country.
On my campus I have noticed that many of the guys are short or of below average height. I think the avg height is like 5'11. I would say most guys here are about 5'9. There are a lot of tall women here though. I would place the avg height of women at close to 5'8. Typically, men are suppose to be on avg roughly 4 inches taller than their female counterparts. That is definitely not the case here.
Every day I see men holding hands with women who are slightly taller than them. It's kind of funny but it strikes my curioisty.
Why are women growing taller while men appear to be getting shorter?
