[quote:ExhaleAeonVolts:MV83OTkxNzRfMTIzMDE1NDlfN0FBMEFEOTM=] [quote:Bigboat] they have large storage cabnit in the garage , 2 or 3 frezers . One guy I knew had made a coffie table that held 200 pounds of grain in it . He used to work in the big safway warehouse in so cal , It seem that even if you have to steal food , its ok , as long as its not from another mormon
Yes, I have heard of a lot of "furniture" being retrofitted to secure provisions. Side tables, coffee tables, Bed Frames. But, I think most suburbanites are not as industrious. I don't even see people changing their own oil in my neighborhood. We do. We just did brakes, changed transmission fluid, fixed a crank shaft box on the transmission, oil, sparkplugs/wires for multiple cars including the in-laws. So, I think they just stash it where they can. If they do. And presently, from the website on LDS.org. I think the church has pulled back on their recommendations of 2 years worth of food to 72 hrs kits plus 3 months of provisions. Only do more if you have the skill and money. That is what I have observed in my very mormon neighborhood. But, since I don't know much about the insides of their homes, I really don't know. There is a lot of room in 2400 sq feet to store food if you are creative.
Any mormons on this board? I understand that most mormons stockpile up to a years worth of food. Is that true for all mormons? What about the ones who live in the suburbs? For instance, in my neighborhood we have a mormon church and a fairly good number of mormons living in our neighborhood, but the largest house around here is maybe 2300-2400 square feet and I am just wondering where they store all that food? Do you guys set aside a specific room in your house for food storage?
