[quote:The Commentator:MV84MTM2ODNfMTI1Njc2MTFfMkYwQTlCNjE=] [quote:gsbltd] I just saw an aerial pic of the Pentagon and noticed there is a central courtyard in the middle with what looks like sidewalks leading up to a central point in the dead-center of the building. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IS IN THE COURTYARD AT THAT LOCATION? I can't imagine it's something a simple as a flagpole... likely something far MORE symbolic as Washington D.C. is riddled with Freemason symbology in buildings and layout -so I'm just wondering if that big 5-sided building has anything interesting in it's exact middle? BTW: in what little I could find out about the building itself [besides a description of the general floorplan] was in interesting historical footnote: ground was broken to build the Pentagon on September 11th, 1941 [precisely 60 years to the date that jet allegedly smashed into its side].
Actually it is a nice little park where people eat lunch and the like. There are venders selling small food items. And it is, officially declared to be "indoors" so hats are not required. It is actually quite nice. Eaten there several times, and it used to be part of the public tour, though I do not know if they even run public tours these days.
