When God created Adam and Eve, He not only gave them a free will but gave them the gift of the Divine Will, which was to act as the life, light and strength, director and animator of all their acts. The Blessed Trinity lived in their souls as a king lives in his own palace. Every act Adam and Eve did was divine because each act they did was animated by the Divine Will. Each act they performed was Godlike, perfect, and more meritorious than all human acts performed from the beginning of the world until its end.
Sadly, Adam and Eve failed the test that God gave them to see if they really could be trusted by God (not to eat of the fruit of one tree in the Garden of Paradise), and as a result they were expelled from Paradise, and lost all the Preternatural Gifts, including that of the Divine Will. Their Fall was so great that they could no longer perform divine acts (which Adam tried in vain to do afterwards but could no longer do), and so he spent the rest of his life weeping over his sad fate.
God, in His Mercy, did not abandon man completely. He promised that He would send a Redeemer Who would not only save mankind from Hell, but one day would restore to man the original Gift of the Divine Will. So 4,000 years later, Jesus, the Son of God was born, died, and rose from the dead, and thus saved man.
But it was not until almost 2,000 years later, that God decides that it is the right time to restore this Gift to man. Jesus begins His Apparitions to Luisa Piccarreta whom He chose to replace Adam as His instrument to re-acquire the lost Gift, and to pass it on to the whole human race.
Jesus in His Apparitions to her, acted as her spiritual director in forming in her the living in the Divine Will. At age 24, in an apparition, the Holy Trinity, with one voice, said to her: “We are about to accept you as Ours and take possession of your soul.” While hearing this, Luisa saw the Holy Trinity enter into her and take possession of her heart, saying: “In your heart We will make Our permanent abode.”
The Third Fiat of God begins in the soul of Luisa from that moment, and from that instant, the Kingdom of God begins to form its reign on Earth. It continues its development quietly and hiddenly in souls prepared by Mary, the Mother and Queen of the Divine Will.
