Here are my top five guitar solos ever performed by my favorite bands:

Have a Cigar - Pink Floyd
Superior to Comfortably Numb, in my opinion.
2.
Highway Star - Deep Purple
I can't find a decent video of Purple doing it anywhere on YouTube... so you can watch the (superior) Dream Theater version instead!
3.
