[quote:J@X:MV84MzczNzhfMTI5NzcwNDRfQkU1NEQ4Qzg=] Tesla demonstrated "the transmission of electrical energy without wires" that depends upon electrical conductivity as early as 1891. The Tesla effect, named in honor of Tesla, is the archaic term for an application of this type of electrical conduction that is; the movement of energy through space and matter, not just the production of voltage across a conductor. The couples' fears were compounded when they headed outside one recent evening and stood under the lines with a light bulb in hand. The electricity that radiated from the lines overhead, creating what is known as an Electric and Magnetic Field, or EMF, was enough to make the bulb emit light, she said.
"I'm not talking about a flicker, or just a little glow," Tumblin said of the 13 watt bulb they had taken outside. "The light came on. It definitely lit up."
