[quote:Dr Butcher 433811:MV84NTczNzVfMTMyOTE0MzdfMzRDMjZEQTU=] [quote:FALLENMONK] The root broke off as it was being extracted. My dentist told me she would have to cut my gums, so it flaps open and then grind my jaw bone to get at the remaining root. There is also the risk of nerve damage and I would have this tingling in my lip for life.Hearing this kind of freaked me so I started firing questions at her.Dont know what happened but she wants the hospital to do it now, so I will be probably waiting months knowing the nhs to get the remaining root out.Is grinding the jaw bone a big deal?
The medical and dental "professions" are havens for medical quackery. I had a loose toothe that the dentist I saw was sure would have to come out. She was amazed that after I tried oil pulling that it had tightened up in the gum. Etc. Gave her the internet links but doubt she checked it out. These people are just slammed through some corporate factory and know verty little apart from how to hack people open and prescribe (corporate) drugs. I have a suspicion that if you leave it the tooth fragment will reabsorb into the bone. Coould be wrong, but it's worth checking out.
