[quote:Anonymous Coward 785579:MV84OTI0NjVfMTM4MTAyMTVfNDdFQzA5MEE=] [quote:Atheist] What most of these fucks like this guy here don't realize is that Dolphin intelligence is on par with man. In many ways greater! Just because they don't speak your language doesn't mean they aren't a sentient species! I know more about dolphins than you do. I know they are one of the few species apart from man that kills sometimes for pleasure. Dolphins are not as cute and friendly as the mainstream media has you believe.
seen one do it this summer, He was a big one, we were fishing, caught a snapper, not big enough, throw back, about that time the dolphin came up, hit the fish one time and circled it several time before it took the whole thing, THAT IS NOT THE POINT! We are 'suppose' to be the higher level. I don't know why the dolphin did that to this fish, you assume it was for pleasure, I don't know the reason, but I know that FISH had a hell of a better chance of getting to the bottom than those dolphins ever had of getting out of that slaughter. Its a total disrespect of everything. thats what's so unsettling about it.
Despite the efforts of the Japanese authorities to keep it hidden, the massacre has been captured on film by a guerrilla documentary team led by the man who trained Flipper.
Until now, the yearly slaughter of 2,000 dolphins in a small town in Japan has been one of the country's most shameful secrets. But The Cove – a new documentary shot in the style of an espionage thriller – is about to change all that. The film follows the attempts of an American documentary team to penetrate the veil of secrecy surrounding the annual dolphin 'drive' in the fishing town of Taiji.
