[quote:tyler 963496:MV84OTQzNDFfMTY4Nzk0MjhfMzM3N0UwQTI=] [quote:Anonymous Coward 730229] My dad was a freemason. My mother never liked it. She said it was my dad's and uncle's 'religion' and she didn't think it was Christian. My aunt was an Eastern Star which is a female mason and she was Baptist. There are also organizations for kids (Job's Daughters and DeMolay.) I always thought being a mason was harmless-just a men's club of guys who stick together and do business with each other, fix tickets for each other, that sort of thing. Now I'm not so sure from things I've read. They also do charity work. The Shriners are a part of the masons and they have free hospitals for children. I know this guy who became a Shriner after his baby got free surgery from the Shriners that he couldn't afford. A lot of masons don't seem to know all the secrets the higher up guys know. I didn't find out until later some of the rituals they do, which sound pagan to me. I don't know why someone would join an organization where they don't tell you what their secrets are until you have joined and sworn not to tell. I always got the impression they are anti-Catholic. DeMolay (the name of the masonic organization for boys) is the name of a Templar Knight who was boiled in oil when the Pope decided to break up the Templar Knights for being heretics and doing evil things (still, boiled in oil?-but that was in the Dark Ages, still...) On the other hand, maybe they were into doing evil(?) So if they named their boy's organization after a man who the Pope had tortured for being a heretic, then it's probably safe to say they are anti-Catholic. I know Catholics aren't allowed to join, but then they have the Knights of Columbus, their own organization. Anyway, I think it's an anti-Catholic organization and they also do pagan rituals and believe that Lucifer (the fallen angel before he became the devil) is a light bearer. Whatever that means. Sounds creepy to me. The free masons are not about religions, they are about believing in god and helping fellow man. There is no evil among brothers. And the brother in the intial story probably gave the signal to get "help a brother out" from the judge. No harm. Sure some brothers could go bad but they are human like the rest of us. You people waste too much time worry about stupid shit. The freemason are trying to look out for you sheep all the time yet you don't relize it. The non members out number us and we are always busy trying to do what we can to keep them in check. We live by a code much higher than the normal person. but we feel we are no better than anyone else. we are all equal. :Idol1:
Its true Brother no matter how much we help we are still the bad guys, like kids to a parent. Maybe some day they will grow up and see the light and thanks for our efforts.
Original Message
I dated this man a few times.
Then last night he shared with me that he was a 32nd degree Mason.
It kind of freaked me out.
He did confirm that there are secrete hand signals they use in court to let the Judge know they are Masons
