Return the Nobel - Patriots, please read!

Return the Nobel Dear President Obama, I am writing as a private citizen and asking you to please return the Nobel Peace Prize awarded a few days ago. I realize the excitement and shock of such an unexpected honor can temporarily overcome normal thinking even in the best and brightest. But a few days have passed and it is time to really think this thing through. Frankly, I am surprised no one on staff or in the media has pointed out obvious conflicts of interest. However, if you insist on keeping the Nobel Peace Prize may I politely remind you of a few things. 1. If you keep the Nobel Peace Prize you may only receive it “on behalf of the United States.” You are the sitting United States President. As such any work done either in your first 12 days in office, concurrent with the deadline for the Nobel nomination, or any anticipatory work over the next 4 years, is done in your capacity as the President not as a private citizen. Those facts make you a “public official” under the laws of the United States. Any gift, received as President over the value of $110.00 must become the property of the United States Government. Therefore, the only “non-profit charity” you may lawfully give it to is the US Treasury. Sorry, you don’t get to pick your charity. Please do our nation a favor and insist that the prize money be paid in “gold” not in paper currency. This will benefit our nation in two ways: it will begin to make the public aware that we need a more “stable” basis by which to value the US dollar and that the “fiat money” being cranked out by the Bureau of Engraving will only accomplish one thing. Printing money gives birth to the ugly politically volatile creature known as inflation. “We the People” know that inflation is simply legalized counterfeiting by the government. Counterfeiting enables politicians to buy votes with promises of government goodies while making the next two generations deal with the bill collector. My words are harsh but please don’t lose heart. There is an unexpected blessing for the people and a political benefit for you in receiving the award on “behalf of the United States”. The United States as the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize will receive some long overdue acknowledgment by the global community. “We the people of the United States” have done much to foster peace and prosperity in the world. From the past to the present much treasure, sweat, and blood has been shed to bailout nations oppressed by evil men with arsenals to carry out their evil schemes. When accepting this award please make this point: the only “land” we asked for in those countries when the evil men and their operations were destroyed was to create cemeteries for our dead. 2. If you keep the Nobel Peace Prize you are now compromised in your capacity to act as “Commander-in-Chief” of the military under Article II, of the Constitution. The Commander-in-Chief must have the moral courage to use lethal force in protecting the people, property, and land of the United States. He must possess the intellect, discernment and common sense to recognize that there is such a thing as evil and evil actors. Who is in charge at the armory matters. Assuming you have been briefed on military basics you know that the sole purpose of the military is to “close with and kill the enemy”. They are professionally trained to accomplish that mission. If, by virtue of receiving this award, you are now persuaded in your mind by foreign laws and ideas that you can not “conscientiously lift a weapon against another life,” then receive this award “on behalf of the United States” and resign as Commander-in-Chief. Of course that means you must resign as President of the United States. There is no shame in asking for “conscientious objector status.” It is a permissible route for members of the military and should be no less for their commander-in-chief. Even a serving US president may suddenly experience epiphany at the persuasion of others and realize his life’s calling really is to work for global disarmament. But as President of the United States you must lead by example. Taking away the “guns that secure the butter on the kitchen table”, is not in the constitutional job description. “We the people” made aware of your constitutional brilliance by our media, know that the scope and duties of the President are limited by this important document. 3. Finally, to do anything other than receive the award “on behalf of the United States” is to compromise the character of the Office of the President and of the United States. Here in Virginia, we believe character counts. I have noted since taking office your tireless efforts to improve our reputation among our global neighbors. One way to do that is by following points 1 and 2 above. In so doing you set an example in word and deed. No king or prince is above the law. “We the people” rightfully expect our officials, to whom we grant our “consent to be governed”, to adhere to the principle of Lex Rex. Character of public officials is always germane. Why is it important to note that? Because “We the people” are once again reading our constitution. We are studying our “correct” history. We have learned that the President, as those of the past, is charged with the practice of foreign policy. The president represents the United States not the wishful dreams of the Nobel prize committee. The president serves to secure our interests as opposed to securing the global supremacy of the United Nations. A president who thinks and acts otherwise has questionable character, loyalty, and fitness for office. No president may disregard US sovereignty or act in ways that alter the very foundation of the “Constitutional Republic”. Having declared yourself a student of history and a constitutional attorney then acknowledge that the US is intended to be a government limited in scope and power. But there is to be no limit on the good character in her officials and citizens. Good character, includes those traits and abilities “to stand and make ready” in defense of her people, wealth and truthful ideas from all enemies foreign and domestic. We the people are not stupid. We recognize classic enemies of the United States. They may morph and shape-shift into newer deceitful forms but their goals and strategy remain the same. These enemies seek to enslave her people and abolish her Constitution. Their tactics are either altering the constitution by unconstitutional means, economic or ideological trickery or worse the use of massive deadly force. That is the real world. If the office holders of our nation are unable or unwilling to protect and defend her in the global arena then they are de facto and de jure unfit to hold office. The United States of America and her people are by the hand of Providence, a gift of great blessing in world history. She is worth defending. Respectfully, Sylvia D. Ross Ashburn, Virginia
