Original Message This was a show on PBS last night. The hour long video is on the PBS website, but it wasn't working when I typed this. They said they're working on it.

Definitely worth a watch when they get it fixed.

They also have a whole website dedicated to the show.

There's lots of interesting stuff here about how the rest of the "civilized world" handles paying for their health care systems.

T. R. Reid traveled around to Britian, Germany, France, India, Canada, Japan and Taiwan to see how they do it, and to find out if their systems work any better than ours.

What he discovers, surprise surprise, is that just about every other developed country on Planet Earth has a better way of doing it than us.

And the best part is....

What they all seem to have in common is that they spend about HALF what we do on it. Or less.
