[quote:Anonymous Coward 858487:MV85NTkyNDJfMTQ5NDUxMjBfQ0U2MjcwNDg=] [quote:Anonymous Coward 826399] Actually it's not just a guess. I have electrical and electronics background, and yes a steel shipping container will act like a Faraday Cage and block all the EMP pulses. hmm i was under the assumpt such a thing could only be plausible if were made of copper?
Metal is metal. The container actually acts as a conductor to direct the energy around the vehicle much like it would if lightning struck it. It acts as a shield. Even if not grounded it might be ok but for good measure put in some grounds for the container.
If you store a vehicle in a steel shipping container, just like you see the cranes unloading from the big ships down at the docks, will your vehicle be protected from an EMP.
