Multiple Satellites Track and Confirm Gravitational/Magnetic Anomoly in Earths Mantle.
On the 24th Feburary 2005 the twin satellites (GRACE) observed a trench in the gravitational field of earth, this trench was located in the Indian Ocean.
At the time nothing was thought of it as it was a brand new method for mapping slight changes in earths gravity from changes in water mass due to tides etc.
Over the course of the next month though they found this trench of denser gravity was actually moving and towards Indonesia and more importantly Sumatra.
On the 29th of march an the GRACE satellites passed over sumatra and what the scientists saw confused them, the gravitational trench was still apparant over land, at the time they just thought that the trench appearing over land was just a balancing effect of the tides being pulled towards that point by the moon and that the Magnitude 8.7 Earthquake was just a co-incidence.
Time went on before in 2008 a professer of seismology began looking at the images for the past years and what he found frightened him.
He found that as this trench had been moving around the earth it had co-incided with 80% of all major earthquakes since 2005, too much of a co-incidence and so he came to the conclusion that this gravitational trench was responsible for most of the major earthquakes.
He also noted that the earthquakes that happened as this trench was in the same place had a tendancy to produce more frequent and powerful aftershocks than where an earthquake took place without the trench.
After careful studying he also found that the trench had been growing in size and gravitational distortion since the first images of it were taken.
The professer was also very interested in the magnetosphere of our planet and how it interacted with earthquakes, having on several occasions seen changes in the magnetosphere shortly before or shortly after an earthquake or volcanic eruption.
He contacted a friend working in NASA's SOHO project and emailed him his findings, months passed and in the summer of 2008 he recieved a reply with three dimension magnetosphere simulations for the same time period, AS he studied them he found the an ever growing hole in the magnetosphere was moving around the planet and growing at the same rate as the gravitational trench.
He concluded that there must be something out in space interacting with the layer of the earth known as the mantle and for it to be of huge mass and highly magnetic, He said "This is not caused by the moon, but is sometimes ampified by it, as the moon does affect the tides and gravitational pull of the earth as we subsquently found the moon's gravitational trench, it is much smaller. The amplifing effect comes when the moon's trench catches up to the trench caused by the unknown object as it did in feburary 2004"
The anomoly was last imaged over the Solomon Islands, Northeast of Australia, on the 4th January at 02:32 UT
