[quote:deadlyprawn 882717:MV85ODQ2NzFfMTU0NDE1NTlfRUI3ODhGOTI=] Way to not let your child make their own decisions, but yet, they are 13 and could still change his/her mind. Education is what one makes of it. For some it's a passion, for some it's about personal growth and/or accomplishment, for some it's about money, status, power, etc. There are all types of different people in the world with different interests, strengths, abilities, intellects, passions, predispositions, and skill sets. If you are a grown man with children and have not figured this out I feel pretty bad for you and your children. You're just as bad as the majority of people in this world. Why? Because you think your way is the correct way. Newsflash, it isn't. What may be good for you is not necessarily good for others. And the majority of the responses here show an obvious lack of schooling, heart, or anything resembling a broad understanding of humanity. There is nothing wrong with tech school, nothing wrong with community colleges, and nothing wrong with universities, they all offer something unique and consequently all have something to offer to those that pursue educations through them. It's the application and the motivation of those attending and sometimes teaching where we see the most of our problems in the education system, at least in the US. [/quote]

I went to 4 colleges. My oldest dropped out of high school. After that, I set him up with a union construction job and he makes close to 6 figures yearly.
Making all that money with no tuition to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
You learn a lot more in trade schools people. These college institutions are just what they say they are.... an institution.
Remember, college is a business. Bet some of you thought they were there to educate you. Wish I knew this years ago. I'm still pay off my tuition(s).
