I don't like porn.
Not because i'm offended by it...there really is nothing wrong with an act between two consenting adults who don't care if the entire world gets to take a close up peek at their ugly bung holes and pee pee parts getting pounded. Go for it! Fuck like dirty farm animals for all I care.
Thats not my issue with porn.
The reason I truely believe porn is just not healthy unless it is viewed in the context of a relationship between a committed couple is this...
I tend to believe porn has turned men (and women)from seeking and establishing meaningful intimate relationships...Men no longer seem to pursue women as much as in the past..and women, well they don't seem to care.
Both sexes its seems have to turned more energy to their careers..and seem less enthusiastic in general about meeting members of the opposite sex, less interested in dating. Apathetic on the subject of marriage in the future...having a family - well,that isn't even a consideration before A B & C happen first. If it doesn't happen, oh well...
The the urge to connect and develop intimacy - well people are giving up. sexual needs are being satisfied alone, in private. With pornography Wacking the chicken to a computer screen is less of hastle. Safer too....No worries about ending up hurt or broken hearted. Or making reservations for the first date dinner...or risking rejection by asking the hot chick in the apartment next door if she'd like to go out...because you already assume women are put off by men's advances. You sit back to back on your sofa's - seperated by a wall of sheet rock. Each of you alone, wondering why no one seems interested in you. Over time, numbness sets in. Then acceptance. The human need to bond with a mate you brush aside. At the click of a button you can satisfy your sexual needs. Porn makes it so easy. Its so accessable.
Pornography most often portrays the act of intercourse as raw and animalistic, not as an intimate act of bonding between a man and woman. The most sacred act of love a couple can share - its been cheapened. On film. For your convienience.
No kisses, cuddles, snuggling. No blissful naps wraped in the arms of a contented lover. The need for release has been met. The pleasure achieved. You feel temporarily satisfied.
After prolonged exposure to the sex act as portayed in film, even on occaisions when the date progresses from the bar to the bed, a connection is not extablished. After being conditioned to sex with a partner as a loveless act of lust, you both get straight to what you believe is the goal rather than experiencing an intimate connection. When its over, you figure she wasn't that into you..so you don't even bother to call her again.
Porn takes the love out of the sex act...Thats what it does!

Pornorgraphy shatters my mother's beautiful explanation of love making. Its like finding out there really isn't a Santa Clause - and that you had been tricked and lied to all your life, by the entire world, about something you truly believed in.
And thats why Debbie does dallas is a bad girl..She killed my Santa Clause of love. And took the love out of love making like the Grinch that stole christmas.
