New York's LaGuardia Airport Flooded (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Flooded LaGuardia

LaGuardia Airport, one of the three major airports serving New York City, was closed Monday night due to flooding from hurricane-turned-superstorm Sandy.

Now, thanks to photos taken Tuesday at LaGuardia, we can see the flooding and devastation ourselves.

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which runs the area's airports, tweeted its concern about the airport's reopening to a curious passenger earlier Tuesday.

New York Governor Cuomo also tweeted about the airport earlier Tuesday.

Many thanks to Frank Giannola, Safety Chairman for Machinists Union representing the employees of US Airways, for sharing his photos with us.
