LOL!

Teen dream Justin Bieber gave his millions of fans a proverbial wink and a smile Friday when he accepted an honor from the prime minister of Canada – in nothing but a white T-shirt and overalls.

The 18-year-old singing sensation was back in his home country to accept a Diamond Jubilee Medal from Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who wore a suit and tie for the occasion.

“Overauhls. Lol,” Bieber tweeted of the incident.

Shortly afterward, to drive his message of hilarious indifference home, he tweeted a photo of himself in his full outfit, complete with a backwards baseball cap, large silver chain and yellow high-tops.

“I met the Prime Minister in overalls lol,” he tweeted. “I hope you hate my style.”

The Diamond Jubilee Medal is given to Canadians who have made great achievements abroad.

Bieber similarly defended himself on Twitter after the photo went viral.

“The pic of me and the Prime Minister was taken in a room in the arena where I was performing at that day,” he wrote. “I walked straight from my meet and greet to him, if you … expect me to have a change of clothes let a loan … a suit at that specific time that’s crazy.

“It wasn’t like it was like I was going into his environment we were at a hockey arena. Wow am I ever white trash.”

On Sunday, Bieber sat down with Oprah Winfrey in a pre-taped interview and opened up about the challenges of fame.

“I’m just getting older. I’m just growing up, guys,” he told the talk show host of what he has to say to haters. “Although being a teen heartthrob is fun, and I love the screams and the girls thinking I’m hot and tuff – that’s not a bad thing – I want it to be about my music and I want people to really respect my music. This isn’t a gimmick.”
