An online video claims the U.S. has a new ally in its fight against terrorism – one from another planet.
The video from the group Section 51 – titled “UFO ATTACKS TALIBAN CAMP!!! March 2014” – allegedly shows a UFO firing multiple times at a compound that then goes up in smoke. The organization, which seeks to show the reality of UFOs, claims the footage was shot by the U.S. Marines.
The location is then filled with a large pile of smoke, and the film cuts to a triangle-shaped object flying in the sky.
The authenticity of the video cannot be confirmed. The U.S. military has not announced any UFO sightings in Afghanistan.
The website Pixable shows the supposed UFO video is incredibly similar to a 2009 military video shot in Iraq.
