Who the hell is Jay Weidner?

Oh wow, he is THE authority on alchemy, and the hermetic arts. Haven't you heard about him? I thought he was famous, and known by all.

OK, did he do that "Infinity The Ultimate Trip Journey Beyond Death"? I just watched that a few days ago and dug it. Good stuff. Is he one of the people speaking in that film?

Never did buy in to his take on things. But then again, I don't buy in to a lot of the stuff I read. Bits and pieces can be found everywhere.

Hi Full Circle, unfortunately, at certain times, it is required to yield to an individual such as the great Jay Weidner.

He has written a number of books, and made a few documentaries. He deserves our respect for this! We cannot disagree with his work! It is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

I told him he's taking this way too far. Apparently he thinks I'm in league with Vincent Bridges, conspiring against him or something - I do not know the exact details.

It is of my opinion that this is a big mess, and he has nothing to go on, and would never win. Everything stated on this site is based on opinion, and fantasy. There is no truth here. Even the disclaimer at the bottom says this. I believe in order for libel to count the comments must be backed up in a factual manner.

I will talk to a lawyer on Monday of next week.

You are very difficult to follow, and your email went all over the place. It's difficult for me to form a concise reply for you.

With that being said, I believe you are taking this much more childishly than I assumed you would, and I will give you your apology, but you have not proved me wrong at all, nor do I think an apology is due. However, I do not wish to incite your wraith anymore. I simply do not have the strength to continue fighting against you. So I will yield to you: I am sorry for speaking my opinion about you. I have tried to level with you, but I will not continue fighting against you.

Age has nothing to do with this matter. Knowledge, understanding, and wisdom are paramount in this Art. Anything else is a hindrance, and this includes age. Age is simply a marker as to one's own rate of decay.

Please go back to my reply and find the sentence where I mentioned I never knew Vincent Bridges. I did not state this. Apparently you did not pay attention to my reply very well.

Oh, and by the way, I never said I had the Stone, and I doubt Cypher mentioned this either. You are taking this way out of context, and seem to be replying in an emotional manner. Please settle down, and think through this in a non-emotionally tainted perspective.

P.S. Just because you've written a few books on the subject does not make it okay for you to go around thinking you're owed proper respect from everybody. Respect is earned, and is not a given.

People can sue you over anything. Let him take you to court. Can he prove he is not a puffer?

I have advice. But not legal advice. Just strategy.

1.) Has he served you with papers yet? If not, wait 2 more weeks and if you hear nothing, it's probably a dead issue.

2.) You posted a public appology.

3.) Just because someone sues you, doesn't mean they are going to win. I don't know all the facts of the case, but it seems to me that if he is running around claiming to be THE authority of Alchemy and the Hermetic Arts, then he would need to PROVE that he is if he wishes to win because you said he wasn't. I'd like to see that.

4.) The rules on this board do not superscede the laws of the land. If he can prove you libaled him, then you're pretty much hosed. However. Don't worry. The usual compensation for a suit like this is usually 1 penny. If he wants more, then he would also have to prove damages. Which I also doubt. If he is the ALL SEEING GRAND POOBAH of the Hermetic Arts, then no amount of shit talking anyone could do could change that. Therefore liabel is thrown out. BUT he would have to PROVE he IS the big cheese. Like I said. I'd like to see how he could do that. What....is he gonna plop a hunk of lead down on the Judge's bench and turn it into gold? Please.

Yea, go ahead and put that counter suit on the table for him, so that he knows that if he cant prove he is the Grand Pubba, then the tables are turned. Make sure he understands this and ask him if he is willing to take that gamble.
