Sinanju, well, if you like we can take a vote on who won on this thread.

Go get some punching bags and sign up for kickboxing, for Pete's sake.

I daresay your evil humors are going to give you a heart attack if they haven't already.

No, the difference is that I am a reasonable person who can learn and who can admit when she has learned something new. I can say "I don't know" and can respect others' opinions.

You are just a dumb-show, like a puppet theater without the sound. You can't stay on one topic long enough to debate with intelligence, but just keep repeating your cant. When that fails to convince, you resort to name-calling. You can't even come up with a creative putdown. You resort to profanity.

>>Funny. This thread has been going all day with me debating your ignorant ass into a corner. If all you have is that I said meanie words to you, then you are in for a very trying time for the remainder of the period that you remain here.

There is a name for your illness. You are a person who cannot relate to others except with hostility. You are a bully. It is sad, you need help, but I cannnot stay here any more today.

See you later.

>>Incorrect. I respond to plenty of good people with no hostility what-so-ever. I respond to IDIOTS with disdain.
 Quoting: Sinanju2

You do not know me. I was just talking on the Internet for Pete's sake. As I said, your hostility is off the chain. Go ahead take another swing. You are pathetic and ridiculous.

Aquarius, is there anything you would recommend other than what Sinanju has?

. .

Well if we could some way turn back the clock to about 1912, that would be good for starters.

Oh, God, partisan politics just never end.

Rep Pete Sessions (R, Dallas) just complained that the Democrats did not come and "explain the bill" to the Republicans in committee.

Can they not read?

Link: Now on CSPAN

You know that when discussing bills before the House or Senate, it really helps to provide the Bill Number so other people can go out to thomas.gov to look up the text of the bills in question, provided of course that the GPO has posted the text on line, and its not being rammed through in violation of all sorts of standing rules that are supposed to be adhered to to give the public a reasonable chance to read the text for themselves.

What bill are you referring to?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 715509

If you'll read the thread, you'll find the text of the bill has been embedded.

Thank you, I really must go now, and get some other things done today. hf

Bill just passed the House 217 yays to 201 nays.

Nearly every Repub voted against it.

Why do we need another "jobs" bill when they passed the almost Trillion dollar "jobs" bill last year. And most of that money has , supposedly, not been spent.

Enquiring Minds want to know.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 906933

At the moment the Senate is talking over an additional $178 Billion bill.

>>Just the Fair Tax alone puts the power of government in your wallet.

All Tax does that.

>>No, all tax does not. The Fair Tax allows people to vote with their wallets. Essential goods like food and medicine are not taxed, luxury goods are. If the PEOPLE do not agree with the way Government spends the revenue then they stop buying luxury goods. You do not have that option with other forms of taxation.

Also, for the record, I do not agree with the suggestion to give all federal positions in government to those who will work for free.

That will mean a bunch of rich people who have no idea what the working people want.
 Quoting: New Eve

When is it going to occur to most that "the working people" are not the only people in this nation?

You don't have to convince me, I have been an advocate for Fair Tax (aka national sales tax in lieu of so many Federal Taxes one can barely keep track of them) for a long time. I also am in favor of some protective Tariffs.
