MODS - It's up to you. Small piece of puzzle ??? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 906627 Slovenia 03/04/2010 01:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is there anyone else here who is involved in a government, military, or municipal project who is being pressed to make a "can't miss" 2011 delivery deadline? I am involved with a Navy project (see www.ddg1000.com). As in all ship projects, this one was running way behind. But last year, the project was pulled from the prime contractor and given to a different shipyard. Many reasons are plausible. But we are under TREMENDOUS pressure to make delivery deadlines at all cost so that these two ships can be delivered by end of 2011. Quoting: BeeleeverJust curious if we could see from other responses a pattern??? Are they submergible mega ships you building? |

Heck - this vessel has it's own web site - I put it up in my original post. Not too much secret about it... To mask or not to mask - that seems to be the question..... |

Beeleever (OP) User ID: 888341 United States 03/04/2010 02:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I posted a question like this on another board back in the fall of 09. Got a couple of interesting responses. One was from a lady who worked for an electrical contractor in the DC area. She would not say what their specific project was but it had to do with burying (sp?) the electircal cables underground from the poles in what she said was a very large complex and area. They also were under high pressure to speed up and get completed before mid-2011. Like I said - small pieces of a big puzzel. Maybe. To mask or not to mask - that seems to be the question..... |

If the MODS pin it - more have a chance to see it and reply. Gesh... Listen pal, if you want to turn glp into a MSM kinda place, then you're on the right track. GLP is not done by pins or mods. Mods are like the website babysitters and the pin status is offered due to interest and validity of information. If mods thought your thread was good for a pin, they would pin it. Now, look at the thread title. There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING of value there. The link you gave leads to absolutely nothing, and your claims, although in sync with a lot of things, are nothing that spectacular. Now, if you want this to get attention, it's not by calling out mods in a thread title. Actually, if I was a mod, that would smell like butt licking and would probably get LESS attention that what it would if a good working title was there. You get attention by CONTENT, not by whining like an baby hungry for attention. there. |

If it is not there by friday at 12am, the project is pulled, and without any hard feelings. It is business and how it operates in some areas. get my point.... it is not always about a serious event. Just because it is something of more importance just does not change the reason behind the deadline. if this is even a legit post to begin with |

Last year this time, Dover AFB in DE, easy come, easy go. Now, new recruits air national guard all over the place, people running into each other, souped up security. Line on the floor in the aircraft hanger - sign says if you cross this line you may be shot. |
